Here’s a realization I only came to recently. Since investors are often looking to team up, especially at the earliest stages when it’s hard to judge and your individual elbow grease investment will be low, these investors are looking for each other. So the easiest way to meet interesting entrepreneurs is to have investors send them to you.
How to do that? Just email them and tell them you’re interested in looking at feels. They will stop doing it if you don’t invest in their companies. But if you don’t invest in their companies that must mean you don’t like the recommendations.
A bad way, however, to meet interesting entrepreneurs: go where entrepreneurs hang out and say “hey I invest in companies”.
