Shakespeare v Nas
It is about suicide. So yeah sleep is death.
Nas by contrast offers a steelier view of being awake:
Hamlet would have difficulty convincing me his situation is more grim than Nas above. But Nas rocks his Fortinbras stilo. “I think of crime.” So does Fortinbras near the end of Hamlet – he thinks of assasination.
