You can pay for access to super elite folks.
Go to the conferences.
Meet someone, make friends, and now they are your friend. The super elite folks are pretty normal — they have friends. Some are hyper well connected, and those they protect a bit, but others they are very natural with. What you can’t do it hit up these folks for tons of intros. But you can know them, drop their names, run into them at events, introduce people TO them, and occasionally they will introduce YOU to folks.
And to meet them is easy: go to those conferences and pay the $1,500 or whatever they want. All the ones that say “founders” in the name and so forth.
