Search for keywords vs. meanings, or “Is Google dead?”

One of the best GPT/AI search things is when you have no idea how to exactly describe something but the robot finds it. Doesn’t work in normal search.

Here’s an awesome example.

I was walking in Brooklyn once, some years ago (don’t know when), and I looked up an address online that seemed super weird. The building was scary! Online it said the building was being prepared for a film shoot with Stephen King.

I tried to remember today what that moment was.

Searched on Google. Useless
Tried Bing. Useless
Tried OpenAI ChatGPT 3.5. Useless
Bing has ChatGPT 4 — Hmm! That might be it there!
Show me the picture…
Ugh. Trying again
Again
Argh. Failing.
OK let me keyword search it in Bing. Hmm. Busy…
Google many fewer results…but that second one…
That’s it!! That’s the one. I remember it. Not a lot to go on yet. Where is it? No location…
Bing Image Search! Wow. That other site has that image.
And that site has the address.

Bing’s ChatGPT 4 implementation was so essential to finding this thing… Yes Google still had a few clutch moments.
