The death of parking

In the future there will not be any parking lots.

Norman Foster re: the new Apple campus: roughly “I would have designed the parking differently if I were designing it today instead of 5 years ago” (higher ceilings, convertible to office space when it’s no longer needed)

Carlo Ratti design in Singapore: same

Houston, TX: 20% of land area is parking, plus 10% is circulation/roads.

And this, airports are seeing the end of parking happen first.
