I am a perpetual optimist. 2022 will be better! Omicron is the end and it will happen fast! Trump is out! My new work is strong… I think.
But the start of the year included my friend from college N, who died last week.
And reflections with friends who lost multiple relatives in 2020 and 2021 to COVID.
And the passing of time that steadily frays all healthy people.
