The psychiatrist Esther Perel had some fascinating insights about entrepreneurs, technology and the cultural context.

Entrepreneurs focus on Solving problems. When they list problems, they talk about fixing them. Things are “broken”. Not impossible.

But the traditional function of religion and mysticism is to explain and process the impossible. Manage unsolvable problems.

The opposite is the attitude of entrepreneurs

In a place where people believe everything can be solved — even death, poverty, pain — then technology is the religion.
