My learning from my visit is: Berlin is the tech capital of Europe; larger, more dynamic, better prospects than Stockholm, London, Paris or Barcelona (which are the other relevant cities). The only small problem is it’s a little farther from NY and SF (but I suppose it’s closer to China and India).
Great companies at scale in Berlin: DeliveryHero, Zalando, Rocket Internet. These guys are building campuses around central Berlin.
Many more momentum startups. Tons of engineers. No competition from Finance (in Frankfurt).
